About U.S. Insurance Awards

The Business Insurance U.S. Insurance Awards recognize excellence in the commercial insurance and risk management sector.

Now in its eighth year, the awards program highlights exceptional work by insurance professionals working at companies across the commercial insurance industry – from retail brokers to TPAs, insurers and more. Recognizing that major achievements are seldom the work of individuals working in isolation, many of the awards honor teams of professionals working on specific projects. Anyone familiar with a team’s work can nominate them for an award.

Starting in 2025, the program will include four innovation categories to celebrate innovative new technologies and services designed ultimately to help risk managers. Prior to 2025, these awards were celebrated for 15 years under the Innovation Awards branding. Business Insurance recognizes that innovation plays a key role in the industry and will now recognize innovative achievements on the largest night for insurance awards.

Lastly, the U.S. Insurance Awards program annually names a Lifetime Achievement Hall of Fame recipient.
