Mikhail is a US-based Tax Partner in the EY’s Global Insurance Sector. He is a member of the EY Global Captive Network and serves as the EY Americas Captive Insurance Services Co-Leader and US Northeast InsurTech Tax Services Leader. With over 18 years of experience, Mikhail specializes in the domestic and international insurance and tax topics, planning & structuring, tax and insurance risk advisory, tax controversy, and tax thought leadership for a broad array of commercial insurance and reinsurance, captive insurance, InsurTech, other financial services and non-financial market clients. His captive insurance and InsurTech market focus covers tax and regulatory matters in connection with designing, establishing, utilization and reorganization of Insurtech and captive insurance arrangements, programs and structures. Mikhail also focuses on design and review of insurance products for captive insurance companies and co-leads the product innovation team for the practice. Over the last years, Mikhail has numerously been named to the Power 50 list of the captive insurance professionals and awarded “40 Under Forty” recognition by NYS Society of CPAs and Captive International.
