Lea Lønsted is part of Mercer’s HR Transformation team, where she is Pay Equity Leader for Europe and UK. She joined Mercer in 2019 as Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Consulting, supporting Danish and international companies towards building more diverse and inclusive workforces.

Besides of working with clients from a broad range of industries (energy, pharma & life sciences, finances, technology and manufacturing) she supports clients in the non-profit sector (arts, human aid and intra-governmental).

Due to her experience in the non-profit sector, she has represented Mercer and MMC in several AmCham and European Commission fora and has been part of Mercers advisory team for the World Economic Forum’s ‘Closing the Gender Gap Accelerators’.

Lea is on FPI Lab’s screening board for Fair Pay certification.

For the past 18 years, Lea has worked globally in the realm of Organisational Development and Human Resources in large scale private and non-governmental corporations across several industries. Lea has been leading multiple large-scale change projects with global business impact.

Examples include:
-Leading a Pay Equity study and HR process review for a large global renewable company
-Supporting a global pharmaceutical company developing their culture through inclusive leadership development programmes
-Improving gender parity across the United Nations System through the development and implementation of a comprehensive gender parity strategy in support of the Sustainable Development Goals
-Changing culture and business models through leadership development at Maersk
-Optimising HR processes and systems for better employee experience and engagement at ROCKWOOL, United Nations and Maersk

Lea holds a MSc In International Business and a BSc In Philosophy and Economics. Outside of her Mercer role, she is an active board member in the non-profit organization, Periamma, which works actively to build self-sufficient communities and support education for girls in rural areas across Kenya, Uganda, India and Thailand.
