Andrew co-leads the captive insurance practice in the Insurance Sector of the Financial Services Office (FSO). He is based in Phoenix, AZ. Andrew has over 15 years of experience. Prior to joining EY, he held a Director position at one of the major insurance brokerage firms leading their captive insurance management team in the Southwest US.

He has provided traditional and alternative risk solutions and advice to global corporations across all continents focusing on captive feasibility and utilization, global insurance structuring and design and risk management program reviews. He further provides tax advisory captive and captive tax consulting solutions.

Andrew has worked with insurance and reinsurance brokerage teams to structure large insurance programs and provided alternative risk transfer advice to identify cost efficiencies and risk management and financing benefits. He has project lead multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic insurance solutions, comprising experts from actuarial, brokerage, claims consulting, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, tax and treasury.

Andrew’s background includes all areas of captive insurance, including captive feasibility, captive utilization, captive tax advisory, regulatory reviews, modelling, captive structure implementation, internal controls audits, capital planning and cross-border strategies, and captive closure.

Andrew is a Director on the board of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) and the Arizona Captive Insurance Association (AZCIA)
