Marleen Nyst, PhD
Senior Vice President, Parametric Solutions – Head of North America
CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Marleen is leading Marsh’s Parametric Center of Excellence in North America. In her role as a subject expert for parametric solutions, Marleen works on developing, structuring, and transacting custom solutions in the parametric space globally, across all industries and practices. She is located in San Francisco where she has been working on parametric, weather/nat cat, and non-damage business interruption placements for clients globally since 2022.
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Marsh, Marleen spent 17 years at Risk Management Solutions (RMS, now part of Moody’s) where she started as an earthquake modeler, developing earthquake risk models for various parts of the world. Her role transitioned to the global lead of the earthquake source team with responsibilities for development, technical marketing and client-oriented support of the suite of RMS earthquake products. Before joining RMS, Marleen worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey and at Stanford University.
