Christopher began his career within the Insurance industry for Sunderland Marine Mutual Insurance which specialised in fishing vessel and small craft insurances in 2001 having gain his degree in Law and Business at Sunderland University. Whilst at Sunderland Christopher underwrote and managed portfolios across the globe including the United States of American, Latin American countries such as Venezuela, Chile and Ecuador, Taiwan, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom.

In 2010 Christopher moved back to London and joined Barbican Synidicate 1955 within Lloyd’s of London. He built on his experiences to create a new marine portfolio becoming known for underwriting not only “run-of-the-mill” risks, but also the risks that were perhaps more esoteric in nature such as tow and voyage risks for vessels sent for recycling.

In 2018, Christopher began exploring new roles within the MGA market as he attempted to get closer to the original insured as he did at Sunderland Marine. Following successful results form building portfolios, he joined Talisman Specialty UK Limited and Talisman Specialty Europe GmbH as Managing Director Marine to take these portfolios into a captive cell.
