Eric Funk is an Account Executive for Risk & Insurance Strategy Collective (RISC). RISC is a specialty practice within NFP that provides a comprehensive range of tech-forward alternative risk,
captive consulting, and ongoing captive management solutions.
As part of RISC, Eric provides day-to-day insurance, regulatory and financial management of a portfolio of pure captive insurance companies, group captive cells and risk retention group captives. Eric is closely involved in all aspects of managing captive insurance companies, providing ongoing captive operations by liaising with clients, producers, and service providers to ensure quality captive service and compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.
Eric has experience with managing captive account portfolios for pure captives, sponsor captives, traditional insurance companies and risk retention groups. Eric held the position of Senior Account Manager with Aon. Prior to his time with Aon, Eric worked in the banking industry where he focused on customer transactions, customer experience and providing sales training to colleagues.
Throughout Eric’s career, he has worked towards anticipating the needs of clients while also creatively solving problems. Eric graduated with honors from St. Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont with a B.S. in Accounting. Eric is an active participant on various committees and associations within the captive industry, such as VCIA, VCIEL, where he is a core committee member, and CICA.
