Rick designs and executes reinsurance placements and risk management solutions for clients across a diverse range of Segments, including, Global Accounts, Regional Mutuals, Captives, and MGAs.

Rick focuses on the delivery of portfolio analysis, actuarial and analytics solutions, enterprise risk management and advice on the efficient use of capital.

Rick is a frequent speaker and published author on reinsurance topics, including reinsurance market developments, alternative risk financing strategies, and emerging risks facing the insurance sector.

Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, Rick served as Vice President and Treaty Account Executive in Gen Re’s Mutual Practice. His reinsurance career began in 2008 as a Global Property Facultative Underwriter in Philadelphia, PA.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts from the College of William of Mary and is a member of the Officer Council for the Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Rick holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations.

He is passionate about careers in the (re)insurance industry and actively promotes (re)insurance careers awareness.
