Gavin Souter is the Editor of Business Insurance. He has been a financial journalist for more that 20 years.
Mr. Souter joined Business Insurance as a reporter in the London bureau in 1991, and moved to Business Insurance’s New York bureau in 1993. He was promoted to New York Bureau Chief in 1996 and to Assistant Managing Editor, News in 2001.
Mr. Souter was promoted to Managing Editor in 2004 and relocated to Chicago. He was named Editor in January 2010.
Prior to joining Business Insurance, he worked at The Stock Broker & City Investor, Post Magazine and Reinsurance Magazine.
Mr. Souter graduated from the University of Nottingham, England, in 1985.
