Tiffany Austin is a Principal within the Supervision (FinTech) Department at the Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA). In her current role, Tiffany oversees a team focused on risk-based supervision and regulatory compliance, primarily for insurtechs and insurers who use digital assets. Since the launch of the BMA’s sandbox regime in 2018, she has played an integral part in its development and continues to guide companies in the insurance sector with innovative approaches.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from St. John’s University, Tiffany joined the Authority in 2011. She has been promoted to various roles within the Authority, gaining practical experience in all supervisory units related to insurers. With certifications in cybersecurity, blockchain, and data analytics, Tiffany offers expertise in fintech, insurance, and digital assets, focusing on the convergence of these elements within and beyond Bermuda.
