Jack Meskunas has 35 years-experience working with the portfolios of offshore banks, brokerage firms, captive insurance companies and reinsurance companies. He offers his qualified institutional clients recommendations to institutional equity managers, select hedge funds, fixed income investments, and customizes each portfolio to best achieve their objectives.
After scientific and economic study, He has spent time in the automotive industry both at Ford Motor and as a business owner. He has extensive experience at bulge-bracket firms such as Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Prudential/Wachovia, Dillon Read and Oppenheimer & Co Inc. As a result, he is exceptionally qualified to deal with his clients and their industries because he speaks their language.
Jack graduated from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences with a double major in Chemistry and Economics. Thereafter, he earned a Master’s of Business Administration, with honors, from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, concentrated in marketing and strategic planning. He holds the General Securities Representative License (Series 7) as well as the National Commodities Futures Exam (Series 3), the Registered Options Principal Exam (Series 4), the General Securities Sales Supervisor Exam (Series 8, now known as Series 9 and 10), the General Securities Principal Qualification Exam (Series 24), the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam (Series 63) and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (Series 65).
In addition to securities licenses, he holds the ACI® Associate in Captive Insurance designation. In 2020 Jack won the “Individual Asset Manager of the Year” and Oppenheimer was “Highly Commended” for Asset Management by Captive International. In 2022 and 2023 both Jack (individually) and Oppenheimer (as a firm) were voted as “Highly Commended” for Asset Management by Captive international. Jack is frequently published and has authored numerous articles on investments for Captive Insurance companies since 2000.
