Peter is Spring’s Chief property & casualty actuary, with significant captive/self-insurance risk optimization, reserving, pricing, stochastic modeling, reinsurance and captive feasibility experience regarding most property and casualty lines. These include professional liability, workers’ comp (primary and excess), property, general liability, management liability, excess liability, crime, cyber, auto, and the other major P&C lines of business. Peter serves as the lead actuarial work stream consultant for many of Spring’s captive and self-insured clients. Peter has performed various self-insured retention, reserving, risk transfer, and captive feasibility studies for clients over the years and works closely with regulators with their captive application reviews and financial exams to ensure solvency is in place and actuarial standards of practice are upheld. Peter was recognized by Business Insurance as a 2019 Breakout Award winner and in from 2020 through 2022 received Captive International’s Highly Commended Individual Actuary award.
