Amanda Avila, MD is a Managing Partner and Board Certified Neurologist at TeleSpecialists, a TeleMedicine and Technology company specializing in inpatient Neurology and Psychiatry. She holds a BS in BioChemistry from Boston College and an MD from the University of Vermont. Dr. Avila completed her Neurology training at Brown University and her post-graduate Fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Avila is one of the 6 founding members of TeleSpecialists, a group now practicing at nearly 375 acute care hospitals in 37 states covering more than 52,000 inpatient beds. TeleSpecialists physicians see more hospitalized neurology patients than any other telemedicine practice in the United States. They are the Telemedicine leader in leveraging human and technology resources to drive efficient access to specialty care.
Dr. Avila was the first Chief Medical Officer at TeleSpecialists and been Managing Partner since 2020.
