Mark Wiedeman is the Captive Insurance Director at the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance. He has held this role since early 2023 and oversees the Department's captive insurance staff and regulation of captive insurance in the state. After beginning his career with the Utah State Tax Commission as a valuation analyst, he joined the Utah Insurance Department in 2012 as an auditor. He rose through the ranks to become assistant division director.  He currently holds the Associate of Captive Insurance (ACI) and Certified Financial Examiner (CFE) designations.
