Michael Domanski is a partner in the Regulatory Department of Honigman LLP and is the leader of the firm’s Insurance Tax Practice Group. He has 25 years of experience in a practice dedicated to tax matters relating to alternative risk financing arrangements and captive insurance companies, both foreign and domestic, with an extensive background in international transactions. He advises his clients on funding techniques, ownership structure, premium deductibility, application of federal income/excise tax, withholding tax, state premium taxes and unrelated business income tax, tax-efficient financing and repatriation of profits, preparation of tax forms and filings and responding to information requests and examinations involving federal and state authorities.
