CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Tim is a client executive for life, accident, and health clients of Guy Carpenter’s Minneapolis office. His main focus is assisting healthcare clients (health systems, health plans, and employee plan sponsors) manage their various exposures to medical risk. In particular, he has expertise in designing reinsurance solutions that use the client’s captive. He has extensive experience with employee plans, provider risk, and all lines a health plan might write (commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.). Tim is a licensed insurance producer for P&C and LAH coverages in all 50 states.

EXPERIENCE
Tim joined Guy Carpenter’s broking team in 2014. His responsibilities include new business production, client relationship management, and coordinating the analytics in support of the design and placement of reinsurance/stop-loss options. His team provides traditional and captive-based solutions for clients of all sizes across a range of industries. He also leads our insurance placements via his role as Vice President in our affiliated insurance-placement entity, Guy Carpenter Broking, Inc.

Prior to that, he led the life, accident, and healthcare analytics for a competing reinsurance broking firm. Before working in reinsurance, Tim gained significant experience in reserving P&C risks across a wide range of lines of business.
