Amy O’Brien heads up new business development for captives for Gallagher Bassett, a claims management firm. She serves as the sales liaison to the captive managers, brokers, insureds, carriers, and other stakeholders. She oversees the financial aspects of the property / casualty claims program including proposal process, pricing, contract and overall service. Amy has over 35 years of experience in claims management and was named 2022 Captive Service Professional of the Year by Captive Review, 2023 Business America’s Hot 100, and is a Captive Power 50 designee. Amy serves on CICA’s Amplify Women Steering Committee, Networking Subcommittee, and Conference Programming Committee. Amy has been published in several articles focused on claims management services for captives and alternative risk programs. She speaks on panels and participates in mentorship of our industry. Amy and her husband are based in the Chicago area where they live with their son and Australian Cattle dog mix, Bailey.
