Jane Sandler is VP of Global Risk Management for McKesson, a Fortune 8 global supplier of products, technology and services to the healthcare, biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
In managing the risk for her company, Jane's philosophy incorporates a strategic approach to utilization of traditional, captive, and alternative risk financing capacity, with reliance on progressive data analytics tools to optimize risk oversight and decision making.
As an executive leader, whose career spans over 20 years, Jane served in various roles in corporate risk management, regulatory compliance and insurance brokerage.
Prior to McKesson, Jane held senior roles in leading companies in technology, healthcare, life sciences, energy and higher education. Jane has been recognized for her thought leadership, innovative solutions, and results-oriented cross-functional approach.
She was inducted into RIMS 2020 Risk Management Honor Roll and awarded a prestigious Risk Science & Insurance Industry Leadership Award (The Riskies) in 2016. Active in her professional community, she serves on the Board of Trustees for the Georgia State University Risk Management Foundation and on Advisory Boards for a number of major insurance and reinsurance companies.
Jane has also served as the Board member and President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and Board member of the Georgia Society for Healthcare Risk Management (GSHRM). Jane holds an MBA in Finance & Risk Modeling and a BBA in Risk Management & Insurance, in addition to her ARM designation.
A strong supporter of progressive risk management, she is passionate about developing the next generation. Jane has launched a Risk Management internship program at McKesson, spoken at industry conferences and guest lectured on ERM.
