Maxim commenced his career in the insurance industry nearly five years ago as a temporary receptionist. After gaining experience in administrative roles across various insurance firms, he was offered an opportunity to interview for a position within the Governance department at Tokio Marine Kiln. Following a successful application, Maxim embarked on his professional journey in governance, where he now supports multiple Boards and Committees and oversees the governance framework at Tokio Marine Kiln. Prior to transitioning into insurance, Maxim held a role as a graphic production designer within the advertising sector.

Over the course of his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to DE&I within Insurance, by playing a pivotal role in establishing and leading numerous DE&I initiatives. This includes chairing the internal Pride network and being seconded as a DE&I coordinator at Tokio Marine Kiln. Maxim currently serves as Co-Chair of Link, the LGBTQ+ Insurance Network, which operates across the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and the United Kingdom. In addition to this, he sits on the Inclusion @ Lloyd's Board and co-founded the Insurance Inclusion Networks website, in collaboration with fellow panelist Erik Johnson. Maxim's career reflects a steadfast dedication to enhancing inclusivity and governance standards within the insurance industry.
