Katone graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy of Law and Ethics. He earned his Certificate in Cognitive Science from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. It was at the University of Cincinnati where he honed his public speaking and event planning skills working with senior administration, student organizations, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and the New Student Orientation Office. Katone is currently working toward a Master of Arts in Human Resources from the Lindner College of Business. His passion is people, and he aspires to create environments where people love the work they do.

Katone started out in the insurance industry as the Executive Assistant to the USI Midwest CEO, Thomas Cassady. In this role he had the opportunity to learn the industry and the organization from the top down. Today he serves as the USI National Diversity & Inclusion Manager. His day-to-day responsibilities focus on collaborating with senior leaders across the country to actively align other networks, teams, and resources, in the
direction of building a more inclusive future.

Outside of his career, he is extremely active in the community as a Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity Chapter Advisor, an advocate for JDRF International, and a member of numerous young professional networking groups.
