Speaker Bio
Salisu (Sal) A. Richardson is currently a Partner at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer.

Prior to joining QPWB, Sal was the Managing Partner for Litigation at the Florida office of Testan Law, based in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Having practiced since 2002, Mr. Richardson has taken over 80 cases to Final and/or Evidentiary Hearings. These cases have ranged from medical issues such as chemical exposure, repetitive trauma and major contributing cause, to primarily factual concerns such as misrepresentation, causality and subsequent intervening events.

Mr. Richardson began his legal career at a Central FloridaWorkers’ Compensation Defense Firm in January 2003, where he learned efficient and effective litigation techniques. He then began sharpening those skills considerably in 2006 when he moved to a more litigious venue in his native South Florida. Mr. Richardson has since received the prestigious designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) from the CLM’s Litigation Management Institute, documenting his depth of knowledge as to the expectations of Employer/Carriers/Servicing Agents, and the ability to manage litigation to achieve same.

Armed with his client’s best interests as the goal, Sal vigorously, and often successfully, defends his clients in the face of the state’s most litigious claimants and attorneys. As a consummate professional however, Mr. Richardson maintains respect among
his colleagues as a formidable defense practitioner/litigator, allowing for early settlement negotiations and claim closures on a regular basis. Always passionate about the practice, Mr. Richardson also instructs continuing education classes for adjusters, employers and other interested parties on a regular basis.

Community involvement is essential to Mr. Richardson. He currently serves as Vice President of the 100 Black Men of Greater Ft. Lauderdale and a Board Member of “Its My Birthday”, a non-profit that celebrates the birthdays of underprivileged youth in South Florida. For his business and community involvement, Mr. Richardson was named by Legacy Magazine as one of their 40 Under 40 Top Business Leaders of South Florida in 2013 and as one of the 50 Most Powerful African Americans in Business in Broward County in 2014.

We invite Employers, Carriers and the Self-Insured to take advantage of Sal’s pursuit of excellence, defined by client satisfaction.
