Megan Nelson joined Gallagher Bassett in 2016. As Vice President — Auto Solutions, she specializes in integrating people, processes, and technology to shape the future of the claimant journey within the transportation sector. Her previous roles at GB include Senior Associate, Analytics; Consultant, Analytics; Assistant Vice President, Analytics; and Vice President, Analytics, which included the responsibility of leading a small product team for two of GB’s Gen AI products.
She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Financial Services and started at GB soon after as a Business Insights Analyst. She earned her MBA in 2023 from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was awarded the IAIABC NextGen Award, RISE 35 Under 35 Award, and Business Insurance Break Out Award for her contributions to GB and for demonstrating the value of up-and-coming talent in the industry.
Megan’s career in insurance began with Gallagher’s summer sales internship, where she connected with colleagues who were passionate about their work in the industry. When she returned to Gallagher Bassett for a second summer in Analytics, she found a path that would provide the same fulfillment and shaped her career around embracing opportunity, whether in Analytics or product-focused roles.
